What is DSCSA?

The Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) is a U.S. law designed to strengthen the pharmaceutical supply chain and help protect patients from counterfeit, stolen, or harmful drugs. It establishes requirements for tracing certain prescription drugs through the supply chain and for verifying product authenticity.

How MWI Animal Health supports your DSCSA needs

MWI Animal Health offers customers multiple options for accessing EPCIS data, depending on how your organization prefers to work.

EPCIS integration

System-to-system

If your organization wants system-to-system EPCIS data exchange with MWI Animal Health, you can begin the onboarding process by submitting a form with required information, including your MWI account number(s), GLN(s), EPCIS solution provider/vendor, and a technical contact.

Download EPCIS data directly

No EPCIS integration required

If your organization prefers not to integrate via EPCIS, you can instead access and download EPCIS data directly through your store.mwiah.com account.

How to access your EPCIS data

  1. Log in to your MWI Animal Health account at store.mwiah.com
  2. In the navigation bar, click Order History and then click Invoices
  3. Select the invoice that contains the DSCSA item(s)
  4. In the top-right of the "Invoice Details," click the drop-down menu with the "gear" icon and select DSCSA to download the DSCSA information
